The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says it will unveil Sunday Oliseh, a former captain of the senior national football team, the Super Eagles, as the new Super Eagles Chief Coach, on Wednesday or Thursday next week.
NFF’s Assistant Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire, who disclosed this to newsmen on Friday, said the federation had almost concluded arrangements to that effect.
According to him, the NFF had made an offer to Oliseh and all the final details of the agreement had also been concluded.
“The only thing that is left is for the Federation to officially unveil Oliseh as Nigeria’s national team chief coach and that will be done either on Wednesday or on Thursday,” he said.
It would be recalled that the NFF relieved ex-coach Stephen Keshi last weekend over alleged breach of contract and few days ago announced on its website that it was holding talks with Oliseh with a view to filling the vacant position.
The Federation has also said Oliseh would come with a Foreign Technical Assistant, whose job description would centre on development programmes.
It said the Foreign Technical Assistant would work with league clubs’ youth teams and certified academies towards developing the game from the grassroots.
