Dr AbdulKadir Sambaki, a lecturer of Islamic Studies at the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has said that same-sex marriage was anathema to religious tenets and all same-sex couples were hell-bound.
Sambaki, who stated this in an interview with newsmen in Ilorin on Sunday, described same-sex marriage as an “unholy alliance and devilish act’’ the couples of which were destined for hell fire.
The Islamic Studies lecturer, therefore, advised people to go back to the Holy Books and read about what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah and run away from the unholy relationship.
He said: “Marriage is a sacred institution involving only the male and female partners for the purpose of companionship, procreation and peaceful co-existence.
“Any unholy engagement between two people of the same sex, otherwise known as homo-sexuality and lesbianism, is unacceptable before Allah.
“No doctrine of scriptural references accept the sinful act of same sex couple, as the practice is barbaric, disease-prone and against the basic laws of nature.’’
Sambaki, who attributed most of the strange diseases in the world today to the ugly trend of the same-sex union, therefore, advised the people to desist from the practice so as not to incur God’s wrath.
