The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), says it has recovered the Black Box of the Bristow helicopter that crashed into the Lagos lagoon on Wednesday killing all crew members and four passengers.
Dr Felix Abali, AIB’s Commissioner, Accident Investigation, disclosed this to aviation correspondents at the bureau’s headquarters in Lagos.
Displaying the device to journalists, Abali explained that the Black Box contains the Cockpit Voice and the Flight Data Recorders.
The Street Journal recalls that the chopper with Registration Number 5N-BDG plunged into the Lagoon about 3pm on Wednesday as it approached landing.
Six survivors were rescued from the crash incident.
