Saraki Pledges Transparency, Acccountability, Solicits Media Support For Senate’s Success

Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, has said that accountability and transparency would be the Senates’s watchwords when the 8th Senate which clocks 100 days resumes from recess soon.

The Street Journal recalls that the 8th Senate was inaugurated on June 9, 2015.

The Senate President stated this in Abuja on Thursday when the management of DAAR Communications paid him a courtesy call.

According to Saraki, as the senate resumes plenary soon, bills will be churned out to address the issues of power, revenue leakages, corruption, unemployment among others.

Saraki also solicited media support for the Senate’s success to enable the senate deliver the dividends of democracy to Nigerians.

Chief Raymond Dokpesi, the Chairman of DAAR Communications Ltd., who led the delegation, commended Saraki for his efforts towards ensuring that the National Assembly lived up to its constitutional responsibility.

Dokpesi noted that, in spite of myriad distractions, Saraki had demonstrated a leadership thrust hinged on transparency and accountability.
