Mr Opunabo Inko-Tariah, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Rivers State Governor, Mr Nyesom Wike, has resigned his appointment.
The Street Journal reports that the governor’s spokesman made his decision known in a resignation letter addressed to his principal on Friday.
Tariah, who declined to give specific and cogent reasons for his throwing in the towel suddenly alleged that “unfolding developments in the State” indicated that his services were no longer needed.
“With unfolding developments, it is irrefragable that my services are no longer needed,’’ he said, adding that throughout his service as Media Adviser, he “did not threaten any journalist or policeman.”
While thanking the governor, who had yet to respond to his resignation, for the opportunity to serve him and the state in that capacity, Tariah wished Wike God`s guidance and blessings.
