Breaking: After More Than Two Months in Kidnapper’s Den, Gov. Dickson’s Sister Freed

After more than two months in captivity, Nancy, 26 year old sister to Seriake Dickson, Bayelsa State Governor, has regained freedom.
Nancy, who is said to be the last child of the Dictkson’s family was kidnapped on December 19, 2015.
The gunmen whisked her away from her shop on Okaka Road in Yenagoa, the state capital.
The hoodlums who were said to have trailed her to the shop in an ash Lezus jeep, drove her away to an unknown location around 2:50pm.
Her shop is located in a building housing the office of the Bayelsa Volunteers, an army of youths working for the government to assist security agencies in crime fighting.
Governor Dickson had said it was politically motivated because the kidnap was at the thick of his reelection campaign.
However, a ranking official of the Bayelsa State Government confirmed the incident but said official statement would be released soon.
Bayelsa State Police Command, Police Public Relations Officer, Asinim Butswat, said the command had not been fully briefed on the release.
