Breaking: A Raging Battle Between Military, Boko Haram Ongoing in Borno

The Nigerian Army is currently engaged in exchange of gun fire with members of Boko Haram in Bita town near Gwoza, Borno state.
Feelers from the state indicate that the battle is fierce between Boko Haram and the military.
The fighting is said to have started last night when insurgents made attempt to buldoze their way to Gwoza and in the process attacked a military facility at Bita where they met a battle ready Military that promptly responded to the attack.
Rather than beating a reyreat, sect members were reported to have engaged in raging battle, refused to be dislodged. Thus, the fight went on throughout Monday night and said still raging Tuesday morning.
The fight was said to have forced the military to deploy fighter jets from Yola to support ground troops who were being overwhelmed.
A source close to the ongoing war said the quick response by the jets was a big relief to the troops.
There are said to be casualties on both sides, however, Military authorities have not release any statement for now.
