Former HoS, Oronsaye Arrested for 419

Former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Steve Oronsaye had been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday evening.
He was arrested on the ground that he llegedly obtained money by false pretence, otherwise known as 419.
This arrest is coming after eight months a Federal Court in Abuja granted him bail after he was arraigned for alleged N6.2 bn fraud.
Sources at the EFCC said Oronsaye was picked up from his Abuja residence Tuesday.
Recall that Oronsaye is already facing on 24-count charge of money laundering before a Federal High Court, Abuja.
But now, he is being alleged to have abused his position as Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Financial Action Task Force and obtained a sum of N240m from the Central Bank of Nigeria in the guise of assistance to the Committee without the knowledge of other committee members and proceeded to convert the said sum to his personal use.
EFCC source said a fresh two-count charge had been filed against Oronsaye at the Federal Capital Territory High Court.
