Abducted Osun Civil Service Officials Regain Freedom

The Osun State Head of Service, Sunday Olayinka Owoeye, has announced the release of the three staff of the State Civil Service, who were kidnapped last Friday in Kogi State on the way from Abuja.

Owoeye said they have regained their freedom.

“This is to inform the general public that to the glory of God, they have Regains their friends freedom”, she said.

Owoeye in a statement on Sunday said Mrs. ‘Bimpe Ogunlumade, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Tajudeen Badejoko, Director of State Audit and the driver to the Auditor-General(State), Oladapo Ajani Arogundade, were freed by their abductors on Sunday evening.”

He said arrangements are being made to convey them to Osogbo immediately by security agents with a view to re-uniting them with their families and relations.

The HoS was silent on whether ransom was paid or not and how they were released.
