Airforce Destroys Boko Haram Logistics Base in Borno

The Nigerian Air Force said Tuesday that its F-7NI fighter jets carried out precised strikes on a Boko Haram logistics base at Kangarawa, Borno State, in its continued onslaught to dislocate the Boko Haram insurgence.

A statement by Air Force’s spokesman Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa said the air strike has knocked off another logistics base of Boko Haram at Kangarawa in Northern Borno State, thereby decimating their capabilities.

Famuyiwa said the scale of the accompanying inferno and multiple explosions, suggests that the location possibly houses a fuel or ammunition dump.

“The strike therefore constitutes another major setback for the insurgents, while providing tangible evidence of many of the recent successes recorded by the air component of Operation Lafiya Dole,” the statement added.
