Jermaine Jackson, a brother to the famed Michael Jackson and member of the disbanded ‘Jackson 5’ will be globe trotting to raise funds for internally displaced persons (IDPs), orphans and widows in the country.
Jermaine said some local artistes would also perform alongside him and other members of the former Jackson 5, without Michael, adding that the tour was meant to celebrate the group’s 50th anniversary on stage.
The elder brother to late pop star, Michael Jackson, said in Abuja that the global tour would kick off in some Nigerian cities, adding that three concerts and two special performances would hold in some unnamed cities.
According to him, other members of the pop group, Jackie, Tito and Marlon, would fly into the country to join him for the tour.
He said: “The global tour which would feature other members of the Jackson 5 group, will start in Nigeria where we would raise money for the internally displaced persons. We would perform five concerts in Nigeria and then move to other African countries and to other parts of the world.”
