President Muhammadu Buhari has said that the incident that led to the killing of Mrs Bridget Agbahime, an Igbo market woman in Kano, was regrettable.
He admonished that peace and order should be kept as justice will be done.
The mastermind of the killing was said to have been arrested by the police in Kano. The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, has also said no effort will be spared to prosecute suspects arrested with the Killing.
In a statement by Senior Special Media Adviser to the President, Femi Adesina, on Saturday, said the President condoled with the husband of the deceased, Pastor Mike Agbahime, the family and relations and prayed that God would give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
Buhari said: “The incident at Kofar Wambai market, Kano city, is utterly condemnable, and the state government has been quite proactive. Let us ensure that we keep the peace, as justice will be done. Let us learn to respect each other’s faith, so that we can know each other and live together in peace,” the President said.
