Court’s Vacation Stalls Saraki, Ekweremadu Forgery Trial

The trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and his Deputy, Ike Ekweremadu,for forgery could not go ahead, Monday, because the Federal High Courts in the country, are currently on vacation.
Saraki and Ekweremadu alongside two others are being charged for forging of Senate Standing Orders, on which the duo were elected President and Deputy Senate President.
They came to the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Jabi, Abuja, when they were told that the court’s vacation commenced today.(Monday).
The other two co-accused are former Clerk to the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasu, and his then deputy, Benedict Efeturi, were also in court briefly and left as soon as they were informed that the court was not going to sit.
