Omisore Loses Bail Application

The bail application filed by former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Iyiola Omisore has been dismissed.
A High Court of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Friday, Dismissed the bail application.
Justice Olukayode Adeniyi in a ruling on Friday held that the bail application was incompetent.
He ruled that the order obtained by the anti graft agency from another Judge of the High Court of the FCT, Justice J.O Okeke on July 8, was still valid.
Justice Adeniyi held that the only option left for Omisore was to await the expiration of the remand order which had a lifespan of 14 days to renew his application for bail.
Omisore was arrested on July 3 on allegation that he obtained money running into billion of naira from the Office of the National Security Adviser without any contact executed.
He has since then been detained in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The EFCC alleged that about N1.3bn from the Office the National Security Adviser has been traced to him for which he is being investigated.
