Breaking: National Assembly Invites Buhari on Recession

The National Assembly has passed a motion to invite President Muhammadu Buhari to the floor of the National Assembly to address the legislature on efforts by his administration to caution the effect of the economic recession, hitting Nigerians.
Recall the House of Representatives has earlier passed the same motion.
The Senate, Thursday, in concurrence with the Resolution of the House of Representatives to invite the President, agreed with the lower chambers.
The summon was after a unanimous yes vote after it was put into vote by Senate President Bukola Saraki who presided over plenary session.
With the invitation, President Buhari is expected to address a joint Session of the National Assembly, and intimate the lawmakers on his administration’s plans to get Nigeria out of the present economic woods.
The briefing by President Buhari would enable the National Assembly take further legislative action on the recession.
