Court Orders Two Enugu Rep. Members to Vacate Seat

Two members of the House of Representatives from Enugu State, have been asked to vacate their seats immediately.
Justice Okon Abang of a Federal High Court, Abuja gave the order on Tuesday.
The affected lawmakers are Hon. Stella Ngwu representing Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency and Hon. Dennis Agbo representing Igbo-Eze North/Udenu Federal Constituency.
Justice Abang held that the emergence of Ngwu and Agbo as the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in December 2014 was faulty and unlawful.
Justice Abang ordered the sacked lawmakers to refund all monies they had collected by way of salaries and allowances since they took the seats in the House to the coffers of the National Assembly forthwith.
The court also declared Gabriel Okafor as the rightful winner of Igbo-Eze North/Udenu Federal Constituency primary election, while Chijioke Ugwu was ruled to have won the primary of Egbo-Eze North/Udenu Federal Constituency of Enugu State in 2014.
The Judge ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to immediately issue certificates of return to them both of them.
