How N680m Was Shared Among Service Chiefs for 2015 Election in Kastina – Former ADC to Shema

Like a soap opera, more revelation has come out in the ongoing Commission of Inquiry on how the former Governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shema, ran the state aground in his eight years stint as governor.
In the latest revelation, former Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to Shema, Shehu Muhammed Koko on Tuesday disclosed how he shared the N680m he collected from the state’s Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy among former Service Chiefs in the state.
Koko stated before the Katsina state Commission of Enquiry set up by Governor Aminu Masari to probe the past administrations in the state, that the monies were given to the security chiefs and their boys as allowances and logistics for the 2015 general elections in the state.
Some of the service chiefs involved, according to Koko, are Lt Col. Gerema , the CO of 35 Battalion who got N68m; State Director of the State Security Service MT Wakili who got N156m, while NSCDC got N5m, Custom got N8m, Immigration got N10m, NDLEA got N10m, Prison got N8m, FRSC got N8m, as well as the state Commissioner of Police Usman Abdullahi who got N10m.
The former Governor is still being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
