Ondo 2016: Edo Group Pleads with Aggrieved Aspirants, Support Akeredolu

The All Progressives Congress candidate in the November 26 governorship election in Ondo State, Rotimi Aketedolu, got a boost in the neighbourhood of Edo State as a group, Ondo State Professionals In the state, has thrown its weight behind his candidacy.
In their numbers, they said they supported his aspiration to become the governor of Ondo come November 26.
In a statement made available to the press in Benin, Thursday and signed by its Chairman, Dr. Samson Ibikunle Falana, the group appealed to all those who lost to Akeredolu in the APC primaries to sheathe their swords, forge ahead and support the candidate “in the forthcoming governorship election in the state so that APC will be victorious in that election.”
Going further, one of those that lost out in the APC governorship race, Segun Abraham, was cautioned “not to set Ondo State on fire just because he lost in the primary.”
According to the statement, “it is God that ordained. Aketedolu, he is the Moses of our time. God chose him to deliver Ondo people from the pang of hunger and poverty that envelope the people of the state since the coming to power of the present Mimiko government in the state.”
Concluding, the group charged Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC national leader, to support Akeredolu and stop sponsoring Segun Abraham “who is causing disaffection in Ondo State.”
