I Can’t Tell You President’s Health Condition – Osinbajo

The Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Monday said only President Muhammadu Buhari would disclose his health status to Nigerians at the appropriate time.
He also said he was not in any way under pressure to resign.
Osinbajo spoke with State House correspondents shortly after meeting behind closed doors with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
While saying the President is hale and hearty, Osinbajo said he spoke with him earlier in the day to keep him abreast of developments regarding the 2017 Budget and the protests embarked upon by some Nigerians.
Recall that on Thursday, January 19, 2017, President Muhammadu Buhari left Nigeria for a 10-day medical vacation in the United Kingdom, leaving Yemi Osinbajo his Vice President as Acting President.
The President had transferred the functions of his office to Vice President, Osinbajo, and promised to resume work February 6.
But on Sunday, February 5, presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina said the President would not be resuming working Monday, adding Buhari had requested for an extension of his medical holidays.
“The President had planned to return to Abuja this evening (Sunday) , but was advised to complete the test cycle before returning. The notice has since been dispatched to the Senate President, and Speaker, House of Representatives.
“Mr. President expresses his sincere gratitude to Nigerians for their concern, prayers and kind wishes,” Adesina added.
