Suspected Herdsmen Kill Two Women After Rape

Fulani herdsmen have continued to spread misery and woes across the breath and length of the country as they engage in spree of killing of husbands and raping of wives.
This time it is in Ewu community, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State, where fear has risen to a boiling point, following the raping and killing of two elderly women, Christiana Ikheloa and Fatima Emoyon.
The bodies of the women who were discovered to have been raped before they were killed, were found in their various farms by a search party when they did not return home.
Daughter of one of one of the deceased who gave her name as Patience Emoyon, said cows were seen in the place where her mother’s corpse was recovered.
On his own part, son of Christiana, Robert, said the person that picked his mother’s cell phone when it was called, spoke in Hausa language.
He urged the state government to fish out the killers and rapists.
Edo State Police spokesman, DSP Moses Nkombe, confirmed the incident but said he was not aware if any person has been arrested.
