The man was allegedly caught while trying to run away from a house suspected to be use for detaining their victims when he was caught and subsequently set Ablaze.
According to report, the incident happened at Obadeyi Ajala, Ijaiye end of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway following the discovery of the suspected den around a canal in the area.
An abandoned house near the canal was also reportedly used as a hideout by the suspects.
The crowd was said to have laid siege to the hideouts around 7 am after a highway sweeper with the Lagos State Waste Management Agency raised the alarm.
It was learnt that the official heard the voice of a woman calling for help from the canal.
When people approached the house, a suspected kidnapper fled, and was given a hot chase before he was caught by a mob.
