Restructuring is Answer to Nation’s Development

The Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria, Kelly Adenuga, has said that restructuring will strengthen the development of the country.
This is even as he said that Nigeria must decentralise governance from the centre for the betterment of the country.
Adnugba who spoke Wednesday in Benin, shortly after the Institute’s meeting, however said until the country is restructured, development will be mirage.
“I believe that restructuring will go a long way in strengthening development of the country”, he asserted.
He noted that if true Federal fiscal policies are introduced, it would serve the nation better.
He said: “If we can develop along regional lines, I am sure it would help the country. We must decentralize governance from the centre and go back to true federalism.”
He blamed bad leadership for the poor development of the country.
“If we have the right leadership in place things will fall to places. For instance, Lagos as a State has been blessed with the right leadership that can make things work, and that is why Lagos is working.
“So everything rest on leadership and If we have leadership that is strategic and focus on nation building, we would have everything right,” he said.
Adenuga advised Nigerians and those in leadership position to stop playing politics, card of ethnicity and religion with everything, adding that “leadership must listen to the people and fashion out genuine road map for the development of the country.”
