Body of Man Who Jumped into Lagos Lagoon Recovered

The body of Man, who jumped into Lagos Lagoon of Friday, has been recovered.
The man, identified as Oluseyi Adekunle, jumped into the Lagoon in Lagos from the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge in apparent suicide bid.
It is yet to be ascertained why he jumped into the Lagoon.
Witnesses claimed Adekunle jumped over the rails and into the Lagoon after dropping his bag.
His ATM card and other items were recovered from the scene of the incident, thereby revealing his identity.
The footage captured how the man jumped into the Lagoon after he pulled off his clothes and shoe while noticing there was no one around him.
Officials of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Marine Police, Lagos State Ambulance Services and the Nigerian Police from Maroko Division thereafter sought to rescue the man.
Emergency workers on Sunday said they have recovered the body.
Officials of the LASWA and the LASEMA confirmed the recovery.
Oluseyi, a father of three left his Ondo State residence on Wednesday to attend a programme at the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s (RCCG) redemption camp in Lagos.
It was yet unclear how he got to the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.
