President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, are currently meeting behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Kachikwu arrived the President’s office at about 11:33 a.m., Friday.
The meeting with Buhari is coming three days after a memo from the Minister to the president leaked to the press .
In the memo, dated August 30, Kachikwu accused the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru, of insubordination and violation of due process.
This is the first one-on-one meeting Buhari will be having with the Minister since the letter was made public.
