Compliment FG in Nation Building, Obaseki Charges Corps Members

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has charged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to the state to compliment the Federal Government in its quest to reposition the nation and be agents of change.
This is even as he urged them to synergize with their host communities and see that their expectations are meant.
The Governor gave the charge on the occasion of the closing ceremony of the 2017 Batch “B” Stream 1 Orientation Course of the Corps members at the temporary orientation Camp Okada, Ovia North East Local Government Area of the state.
He was represented at the event by the State Commissioner for Youths and Special Duty, Mika Amanokha
Obaseki noted that since the country is faced with both political and economic challenges, their impact must be felt in all facets of the nation’s economy.
“Dear Corps members, the fact that the responsibilities of our youths​ in the task of nation building cannot be over emphasised, the National Youth Service Corps has launched you into the mainstream of socio-economic development.
“May I stress at this point that your complimentary roles in nation building is highly needed at this crucial time when the nation is faced with both political and economic challenges,” he said.
Earlier, the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mallam Abdullahi Yusuf Baba, while presenting the 2,250 Corps members posted to the State before the Governor, said they would be posted to communities in the 18 local government areas of the State, in line with the posting policy of the scheme as directed by the Federal Government.
Abdullahi assured the Governor that this set of Corps members were committed and dedicated to duty, and will contribute to the development of the economy the nation and the state of their primary assignment.
