Obaseki Graces Edo Correspondents Public Lecture Series

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, will next Monday be Special Guest of Honour at the February edition of the Public Lecture Series of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalits (NUJ), Edo State Council.
The Acting Chairam of the Chapel, Mrs. Nefishetu Yakubu, of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in a statement on Monday, said the Public Lecture Series which is scheduled to hold at the NUJ Press Centre, Reservation Road, GRA, Benin City, is part of the Chapel’s corporate social responsibility.
The lecture titled; “Sustainable agriculture as a Panacea for the Herdsmen attack on arable Crop farmers in Nigeria, “will be delivered by Dr. Agharese Osifo, a Reader with the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, while Owere Dickson Imasogie, former PDP South South Deputy Chairman, renowned farmer and industrialist will chair the occasion.
Guests of Honour at the event include the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Dr. Felix Omobhude, the Chief Imam of Benin Central Mosque, Alhaji Abdufatai Enabulele.
Others are Apostle (Mrs.) Eunice Deb’rah Gordon-Osagiede (General Overseer of the Spirit and Life Bible Church) and Comrade Peter Esele, a former Labour leader turned farmer.
Meanwhile the Chapel’s Acting Secretary, Osaigbovo Iguobaro of the People’s Daily newspaper, said that all farmers, women, youths and other stakeholders concerned about food security in Nigeria can also attend the event.
