Boko Haram Strikes Again, Kills 7 in Maiduguri

While the Senate was in a closed door session with Nigeria’s security chiefs including the National Security Adviser to find a lasting solution to the increasing spate of bombings and destruction of lives and property in the country, the Boko Haram sect struck again.
At least seven people were shot dead by the militant sect on Tuesday in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital. The victims included two policemen, a soldier, an assistant superintendent of customs and three other people. They were killed in separate gun attacks.
The policemen were killed in Gwange area within a spate of three hours. While one was shot in his house in the morning, the other was killed on the road around 3 pm. Three corpses were also seen around the Bulunkutu roundabout while a soldier was also reportedly felled by bullets of the Boko Haram sect.
While the Government continues to look for a lasting solution to the problem, the people of Borno State and most parts of the country are living in perpetual fear of Boko Haram attacks.
