Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has dispelled rumours that he is suffering from a terminal ailment. A newspaper report had sparked off rumours that the Governor is having a battle with cancer. Those spreading the rumour alleged that the ailment was caused by the Governor’s smoking habit which he allegedly kicked sometime ago.
The reaction was posted on Governor Aresgbesola’s Twitter account where he wrote “I am hale and hearty, fulfilling the desires of Allah, the Most Beneficent and Most Merciful, my Creator. Let the arrows of cancer pursue, overtake and consume those that wish me plagued/ dead with cancer. Ameena Ya’Rabi. ”
