Armed Robbers Storm Osun State Again


For the second time within six days, daredevil armed robbers struck again in Osun State.

The robbers stormed branches of Oceanic and Zenith banks located in the heart of the town on Wednesday. They announced their arrival with sporadic gunshots wounding several people in the process. The casualties were later rushed to the Wesley Guild Hospital for treatment.

As of the time of filing this report, the amount carted away by the bandits could not be ascertained.

The confident robbers took their leave via the Ilesa-Ife Road where they snatched a butter coloured Toyota Camry. Eye witnesses disclosed to Street Journal that they were clad in blue jeans and armed with AK 47 rifles, one of them had an English Premiership club jersey on while another wore a simple brown shirt.

A similar robbery incident had occurred inside the campus of the Bowen University, Iwo on the 22nd September when a bank was robbed. A number of students fainted at the mere sight of the robbers.
