Boko Haram Kills Journalist In Maiduguri


Gunmen suspected to be members of the deadly Islamist sect, Boko Haram struck in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital again on Saturday. This time, their victim was a journalist.
Zakariyya Isa, a reporter with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) was shot dead around 7:30 pm in front of his house in Bulunkutu area of Maiduguri shortly after leaving the mosque where he had gone to observe Ishai prayers.
Witnesses disclosed that they just heard gunshots and by the time everything calmed down, they saw the journalist lying in a pool of his own blood.
The Islamist sect has been responsible for most of the killings that have taken place in the state in recent times.
