Kidnapped Imo Commissioner Released

The Imo State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Lady Chioma Ogoke, who was abducted in Owerri some days ago has regained her freedom. Street Journal gathered that the Commissioner was set free by her abductors on Thursday.

The state Government has kept mum on whether any ransom was paid. Meanwhile, police investigations are still going on.

The kidnappers dropped Lady Ogoke around Nwaorieubi, Mbaitoli Local Council Area of the state, and from there she picked a cab which took her to her residence.

Observers have described the kidnap of the Commissioner as an indication that the anti-kidnap squad set up by Governor Rochas Okorocha has a huge task ahead.
