Police Helicopter Crashes In Jos, Kills DIG, 2 Others


A police helicopter being used by the Joint Task Force to monitor the disturbance that reared its head again recently in Jos crashed around noon on Wednesday, killing John Haruna, a Deputy Inspector General of Police, his orderly and two others. The helicopter crashed near a secondary school in the Rukuba area of Jos. The deceased DIG Haruna was one of the newly appointed DIGs sequel to the appointment of Mohammed Abubakar as the Acting Inspector General of Police.
