EFCC Quizzes Former CBN Governor, Soludo Over Minting Scam!


Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the immediate past Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria was on Thursday grilled in Abuja by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in connection with a bribery allegation involving Central Bank officials and an Australia’s currency printing company.

Street Journal’s findings revealed that the Australian company which specialized in making polymer money offered inducement to officials of the apex bank in order to be given the job of handling denominations of the Naira that were converted to polymer under Soludo’s watch as CBN Governor.

He was arrested by men of the EFCC in Abuja on Thursday afternoon and was quizzed at the Commission’s office in Abuja.
