Henry Okah’s Sentence Postponed Again!


Judge Claasen, the  presiding judge in the terrorism case instituted against Henry Okah in South Africa has postponed the sentencing till 18th, 19th and 20th March, 2013. While stating hat the postponement was to enable Okah’s new legal team led by Gerrit Miller time to get itself familiar with the notes left by the former Defence team that was withdrawn. Okah’s team had requested for the postponement while the prosecution team described the move as an effort to delay the delivery on the judgment.

Okah was found guilty of 13 terrorism-related charges in January, including the explosions that killed 12 people during Nigeria’s 50th independence anniversary celebrations in October 2010.
