The wave of terror in the country spread to Adamawa State on Saturday as unknown gunmen stormed Midlu, a remote village in the Madagali Local Government Area of the state in the early hours and pumped bullets into dozens of people, killing not less than eleven, including two private security men at the private residence of Bala Ngalari, the Deputy Governor.
Mohammed Ibrahim, the spokesman of the Adamawa State Police Command confirmed the attacks.
Street Journal gathered that when the attackers stormed the village, they went from house to house to pick people. They called out some of the victims by name and shot them as they answered.
Some of the witnesses who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the suspected terrorists went to the Deputy Governor’s house after shooting a yet to be ascertained number of people in the village. They also disclosed that the number of those killed could be more, considering the style of operation of the gunmen.
