Just three weeks after the Federal Government sacked the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah some heads of the Aviation sector have also been shown the door.
The affected people include the Managing Director of FAAN, Mr George Uriesi, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, Nnamdi Udoh, Rector of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Captain Chinyere Kalu and the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Captain Fola Akinkuotu.
The need to sanitise the Aviation sector is believed to be part of the reason for the purge in the industry.
The sack was said to have shocked workers in the affected places who relied on confirmation from their superior officers.
The statement announcing the sack came with an immediate instruction on who the affected people will hand over to.
As at Tuesday morning, the offices of the sacked Chiefs were as usual busy with activities before the news of their sudden removal filtered in with workers discussing it in hushed tones.
