The Borno State Government on Saturday relaxed the 24-hour curfew imposed on Maiduguri and its environs following an early morning terror attack that took place on Friday.
The Government stated that the reason for the review of the curfew which has now been put at between 9 pm and 6 am was because “calm has returned to Maiduguri”
Not less than 207 terrorists were killed during a battle with security forces on Friday as the Boko Haram sect tried to overrun Giwa Barracks in Maiduguri.
Some members of the sect also regrouped and tried to access the barracks again on Saturday morning.
