Amaka Igwe, one of the best known producers in Nigeria’s movie industry has died.
Street Journal gathered that the veteran producer passed on late on Monday evening following complications from an asthma attack.
She produced Checkmate, a popular series that was aired back in the early 1990s. She also produced the Fuji House of Commotion.
Amaka Igwe hailed from Enugu State.
She was born on January 2, 1963 and she got married to Charles Igwe in April, 1993.
In recognition of her achievements in the movie industry, she was bestowed with the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic.
