Man U Names Giggs as Interim Manager


Following the sacking of David Moyes on Tuesday morning, Manchester United has named Ryan Giggs as interim manager.
40-year-old Giggs who was player-coach under
Moyes holds the record of having the highest number of appearances for the club. He will be in charge at Old Trafford until a
permanent replacement is appointed.
The club said in a statement: “Following the departure of
David Moyes as manager, Manchester United has
announced that Ryan Giggs, the club’s most decorated
player, will assume responsibility for the first team until a
permanent appointment can be made.
The club will make no further comment on this process
until it is concluded.”
Giggs baptism of fire will be United’s
home clash with Norwich at the weekend.
Giggs a former Welsh international is among the contenders to become a
permanent replacement for Moyes. Dutch coach Louis
van Gaal is also one of the favourites.
