Nigerian First Lady hosts spouses of Foreign missions


The Nigerian first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan received Wednesday members of the Association of Spouses of Heads of Mission in Nigeria, ASOHOM, at the State House, Abuja.

“The association is a network for welcoming wives of heads of mission to Nigeria and we engage in charitable works in the country especially in states like Enugu, Nassarawa and the Federal Capital territory,” the wife of the Japanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mrs. Mai Shoji who led the association said.

Mrs. Jonathan appreciated their visit and commended their support as well as solidarity to Nigeria, as a clear manifestation of the long standing relationship between their various Countries and Nigeria.

 She also commended the support their various governments have rendered for release of the abducted Chibok girls by the Boko Haram sect.

The first lady however clamoured for peace in the African region and the rest of the world.
