Nigeria’s former Petroleum Minister and Secretary General of the Organization of Producing Exporting Countries, OPEC, Alhaji Rilwanu Lukman has died. Street Journal gathered that he passed on in Austria on Monday.
Lukman was the Secretary General of OPEC, a position in which he served eight consecutive terms. He also served as Petroleum Resources Minister from 1986 to 1990. He was re-appointed to the same position in 2008 and he served till 2010.
He was 76 years old.
