President Goodluck Jonathan has nominated the Corps Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Osita Chidoka, and Abubakar Olanrewaju from Kwara State as ministers.
Subject to the confirmation of the Senate, Mr. Chidoka will replace Princess Stella Oduah as the Minister from Anambra State in the Federal Executive Cabinet.
Mr. Osita’s second tenure as head of Nigeria’s road safety agency ends in June 2015. Many had tipped former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi as Oduah’s replacement. Obi who is a member of the All Provressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has however been quoted as saying he was quitting active politics.
Mr. Abubakar Olarenwaju will be replacing former Sports Minister, Bolaji Abdullahi. His nomination came as a surprise to those who had touted either Senator Gbemisola Saraki or Dele Belgore, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) for the position
