Former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, was on Wednesday confirmed as a minister by the Senate. He left the All Peoples Congress (APC) to join the Peoples Democratic Party earlier in the year.
Other nominees confirmed were Abu Bulama from Yobe State, Stephen Oru, former National Vice Chairman, South South of the PDP, from Delta State, and Adedayo Adeyeye from Ekiti State.
The new ministers were nominated following the resignation of Yerima Ngama, former minister of state for finance; Caleb Olubolade, former minister of police affairs; and Godsday Orubebe, former minister of Niger Delta Affairs.
Portfolios will be alloted them by the President.
