The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has closed its clinic located in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The closure was sequel to the discovery of a suspected Ebola case in the clinic.
In a statement signed by the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Ohi Alegbe, the NNPC disclosed that it discovered that the patient visited the First Consultant Medical Centre during the period the first Ebola case was reported at that clinic.
It was also contained in the statement that the pre-emptive step was taken after the case was duly reported to the Federal Ministry of Health as well as officials of the Lagos State Ministry of Health. He however stated that the medical team had assured that the patient was in stable condition.
