Ayilara said that the affected local government Electoral Officers had been directed to call stakeholders’ meeting in their areas with a view to providing more details on the Registration Areas and Polling Units.
Meanwhile, the REC announced that the INEC Headquarters, Abuja had only made available 1,630, 332 PVC out of the expected 2,002,866 cards, leaving a balance of 372, 534 cards to be brought later.
He said the shortfall in cards were spread over 669 polling units and 63 wards in the state, involving 19 local government areas and called on the electorate to ensure that they secure their voters’ cards, stressing that anybody found involved in double registration would have his or her voter’s card nullified.
It would be recalled that the commission had distributed the first round of PVC at the polling units level between 15th and 17th August this year w
