The Nigeria Football Federation Appeals Committee has annulled the elective congress held on September 30 that brought President Amaju Pinnick in Warri.
Barrister Okechukwu Ajunwa, who is the chairman of the committee announced the ruling at a press conference held at Area 11, Abuja.
“None of them is a lawyer, I am the lawyer and I know the law, I have gathered the results of the committee and I will read them out in accordance to Fifa and Caf rules,” Mr. Ajunwa told the media in Abuja.
“The Elections of Amaju Pinnick is hereby nullified and he is been banned from parading himself as the President of the Nigeria Football Federation,” he concluded.
According to him, the verdict was based on concrete findings that the Electoral Committee for the election was illegally composed and the absence of Fifa, Caf observers counted against the credibility of the elections.
He further queried why the poll was held in Delta State, the home of Pinnick, an aspirant for the office and why Shehu Dikko was wrongly disqualified on the elections day.
Meanwhile, the decision of Ajunwa negates that of the ruling of three other members of the committee who earlier upheld the polls on Wednesday.
