FG Denies Report On Dissolution Of Jonathan’s Cabinet

The Federal Government has dismissed news report that President Goodluck Jonathan had ordered the dissolution of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for next Wednesday.

The minister of Information, Patricia Akwashiki made the clarification at a familiarisation visit to the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) in Lagos.

He said, “I just want to seize this opportunity to say that I noticed in the Daily Trust of today (Tuesday) that it was said the minister confirmed that the executive council will be dissolved by tomorrow.

“At no time did I say anything like that.

“There was no reason for me to say anything like that, because all of us know that we are terminating together with the President on the 29th.

“At no time last week, did I say to anybody, especially, the Trust reporter that this government is terminating on the 20th.

“The government is terminating with Goodluck Jonathan on the 29th of May. That is actually the position.’’
