Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai, has approved the appointment of Hajiya Hadiza Bala-Usman, as the new Chief of Staff, Government House.
Mr Samuel Aruwan, the governor’s media aide, in a statement issued in Kaduna on Monday, said, besides Bala-Usman, El-Rufai also appointed two other aides.
The other appointees are Bashir Dabo, Special Assistant, New Media, and Mrs Amina Saude-Mohammed, Personal Secretary to the governor.
According to the statement, Bala-Usman is a co-founder of #BringbackOurgirls organisation, an NGO formed to fight for the rescue of nearly 300 Secondary School girls in Chibok, Borno State who were kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents last year.
The new Chief of Staff, it said, is also a development expert, who had served under various committees of the All Progressives Congress at national and state levels, and was an active member in the campaign to rescue the Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram.
She had in 2011 contested for the House of Representatives under the defunct Congress for Progressives Change in Musawa/Matazu constituency, Katsina State.
The statement added that Bala-Usman had also worked with the Bureau for Public Enterprises and UNDP, and is a Director, Good Governance Group (3Gs), an NGO.
