Multiple bomb explosions at Dadin Kowa and Dukku motor parks in Gombe State have claimed no fewer than 30 lives and 70 others wounded.
The state police spokesman, Mr Fwaje Atajiri, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, confirmed to newsmen in the state capital, Gombe that the the incidents occurred within two hours of each other.
Atajiri said that the first blast went off at the Dadin Kowa park at about 7:30, while the Dukku explosion followed suit about 2 hours later, both culminating in many deaths and injuring scores.
While Atajiri could not confirm the exact casualty figures immediately, a Red Cross official, Mr Abubakar Yakubu, said about 30 people died in the explosions and 67 injured.
He said that the bodies of the dead and those injured were taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe.
It would be recalled that Gombe has been the target of recent bomb blasts suspected to be carried out by Boko Haram insurgents, prompting Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo to pay a condolence visit to the state thereafter.
A bomb explosion had occurred at a popular market on the eve of Eid-el-Fitr celebration when many people were doing last minute shopping for the festival, killing no fewer than 50 people and wounding scores.
