Cleric Warns Nations Of God’s Wrath, Destruction Over Same-sex Marriage

A Nigerian cleric, Pastor Taiwo Ababiaka, has warned the nations and people of the world of incurring God’s wrath and consequential destruction if they indulge in and legalize same-sex marriage.

Speaking to newsmen in an interview in Abuja on Thursday, Ababiaka, a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Gaa-Odota, Kwara State, condemned the June 26 judgment of the U.S. Supreme Court which legalized gay marriage.

According to him, the Holy Bible forbids gay marriage and totally abhors homosexual relationship, as evident in God’s destruction of the city of Sodom and Gomorrah who practiced it, so any country that practices it today risked God’s wrath and destruction.

He, therefore, advised countries and Christians not to incur the wrath of God and bring destruction on themselves by indulging in gay marriage, while hiding under the so-called gay rights law and the ruling.

Ababiaka said: “If you look at Genesis 19:24, the Bible says that God rained upon Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone because they were practicing gay marriage -man and man were sleeping with themselves.

“This gay marriage is not biblical at all; based on the Bible belief, no Christian, I want to say no Pentecostal Christian, will believe in this kind of marriage.

“We just heard the news that America has just legalized it; it used to be some part of America before, but now 50 states in America are practicing it.

“We should not try it in Nigeria because any city or any country that tries it, God normally destroys that city or that country so that we don’t face the wrath of God.’’

Quoting Genesis Chapter 19:24, the cleric reminded those who engage in the practice, as well as nations generally, that the wrath of God came down on Sodom and Gomorrah because of same sex marriage.
